Biography

    Anna Keklak is a passionate artist from Toms River, New Jersey who began dancing at age 2. For most of her early years, she attended a local studio in her area training in various styles including ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, and hip hop. Anna went on to attend a public performing arts high school in her hometown where she expanded her training in ballet and modern techniques including Duncan, Graham, Horton, and Limón. Her training furthered when she joined Koin and Co.,a pre-professional company in NYC under the direction of Ali Koinoglou. Her training  here included concert and commercial styles as well as vocal and acting. Anna gained performance experience performing works by choreographers like Theresa Stone and Phil Orsano, on stages in New Jersey and New York City.  Anna committed to the contemporary dance program at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee as a scholarship recipient in 2022. Currently in her last year there, she continues to expand her training in modern, ballet, improvisation, partnering, jazz, and composition. Anna has learned from many influential professors including Denise Pons, Brian McGinnis, Marissa Parmenter, Kurt Douglas, and Loni Landon. She has also performed mainstage works by Nicole von Arx, Gustavo Ramierez Sansano, Andrew Skeels, Chung Fu Chang, and more. After school, Anna aspires to leave a lasting impact on the dance community as she furthers her artistic journey through performance, teaching, and choreography.
